I was recommended Mr Steinherr by a colleague of mine within the construction industry who had carried out a similar refurbishments projects whilst the occupants remained in the property.
From the outset Kea was professional in his approach to the pre-construction and planning stage of our build, and this carried through to the demolition and reconfiguration of a bathroom in to a wet room on level one, and a “closet” toilet on the ground floor.
The materials recommended by Kea were first class and the manner in which he conducted himself and his colleagues whilst in someone’s home was amongst the best I have come across.
The standard of finish using porcelain tiles, timber and stainless steel materials was excellent and has not only received plaudits from us as the owner and user, but who ever has visited our home since. The cost of the project was around £11,000, which whilst not large in itself was carried out in a manner which can only be recommended, and I have no hesitation in doing so.
In closing should you wish to discuss any of the above further, do not hesitate in contacting the undersigned?
Yours faithfully

Kea Steiner renovated a flat for me in London starting on 4 Feb 2008 and finishing on time in April the same year.
The work included:
- Demolition and stripping the existing floors, walls and ceilings back to the plaster;
- Fixing structural faults with the floor joists;
- replumbing all pipes;
- rewiring all electrics;
- Refitting the bathroom and kitchen;
- rebuilding the floors in all rooms; and
- replastering and painting all walls and ceilings.
From the first meeting Kea was well organised and prompt. He providing good design options having listened closely to the style I was targeting. As a consequence, his estimates were also accurate.
Kea managed all the contractors well ensuring all stages were completed in time for each contractor to start work. As a result,
the job proceeded at a regular pace and each stage was completed without delay.
He and his team were always conscious of safety and cleanliness especially around the common areas between my flat and the main entrance of the building. As a result, my neighbours were not impacted.
The work completed was of the highest standard and in all cases met or exceeded all relevant regulations; including gas, electric, fire and general council and building reg's.
Overall I was extremely pleased with Kea's work and would have know hesitation in hiring him again.
Regards,
James Birrell.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Kea.
Kea advised on the construction, layout and design of a new bathroom on the top floor of our house and carried out the necessary building and plumbing works. The job involved bringing water and sewage disposal to the top floor and constructing a new bathroom in the existing bedroom. Kea advised on the construction issues as well as providing helpful advice on the bathroom layout and style itself. He also assisted in obtaining the best price for the materials and suite we chose.
He is highly professional in his approach and left the work area clean and tidy at the end of each day. This was especially important with a 20 month old toddler on the rampage.
He is very easy to have working in your house and has a real can do attitude.
In addition to the bathroom works he also assisted and advised on some additional work we were having done to create a basement area. He repositioned various pipes and central heating radiators, plumbed in a new sink and installed a saniflow. Again, nothing was too much trouble.
My only regret is that he is leaving the UK for New Zealand as I would definitely hire him again.

A freind of mine, knowing that I was planning to have a new bathroom and kitchen installed in my flat, mentioned that her neighbour had done the same thing and that her plumber had been particularly good. A visit to said neightbour was arranged and I saw the work of Kea Steinherr. A small bathroom but very smart and imaginatively done.
As a result I called in Jea and we discussed my ideas for the new bathroom. He immediately came up with further ideas and it was clear to me that he understood what my goal was, he took an interest in the project and, it turned out, he had other skills to off in the general scheme of refurbishment of my flat. I hired him and work started early February this year.
My new bathroom is stunning. The area where there was a bath is now a big, beautiful glass fronted shower area, tiled from florr to ceiling; the hand basin is wall-hung and contemporary in its rectangular shape; the wc pan is wall-hung and fitted with soft-closing lids. There is under-floor heating and a heated towel rail. THe walls are tiled up to shoulder height and the flooring is porcelain tiles. All of it beautifully fitted and finished.
Apart from being a first class plumber and tiler, Kea does carpentry - he has built me a big fitted bookcase, he has made and fitted new cupboard doors to various areas, he does not approve of wasting space so he has fitted shelves and/or cupboards in several recesses.
I was going to have a new kitchen fitted - so Kea arranged for a fitter to do most of the work but all the finishing touches he did himself.
In reality, Kea ended up acting as the project manager for all the works and redecorating I haddone to my flat and it is very much down to him that the end result is excellent throughout.
I found Kea thoroughly reliable and trustworthy and a great person to have around. Before the works started, he had said that he would be on the job all the time and would not dissappear to other sites while my job was going on. This turned out to be true - he worked hard and dedicatedly and he made a point of always leaving the place as clean as possible at the end of the day.
Kea's charge for the work were totally fair and resonable.
Needless to say, I recommend Kea Steinherr wholeheartedly.
Yours Sincerely
